Axel Springer: Peter Würtenberger to Become Executive Vice President Corporate Development in New York

BERLIN--()--Effective July 1, 2015 Peter Würtenberger, 48, will become Executive Vice President Corporate Development of Axel Springer (GER:SPR.DE), Europe's leading digital publisher. Based out of New York, he will support Axel Springer’s strategy of expansion in English-speaking countries. He reports directly to Mathias Döpfner, CEO of Axel Springer SE.

Peter Würtenberger has been working at Axel Springer since 2001.

He has served as Axel Springer's Chief Marketing Officer for more than six years and currently heads up Axel Springer Media Impact, one of Germany’s leading media marketing and sales organizations. From September 2012 to March 2013 Peter Würtenberger took part in a research project for Axel Springer in the Silicon Valley and helped develop new business ideas strengthening digital growth.
