Payment industry veteran driving new financial distribution channel and enterprise opportunities

ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill.--()--Infinite Peripherals, Inc. (IPC), a leading provider of enterprise mobility devices and the first company to mobilize iOS for the enterprise, welcomes payment industry veteran Tom McCole to the newly created position of mobile commerce strategy director. At IPC, McCole will create a new financial distribution channel, develop a new multi-product sales model and lead a payment sales team to support payment-related enterprise opportunities.

“The payments industry is evolving rapidly with mobile wallets and contactless payments; technology changes in the U.S., such as EMV adoption; and growing security concerns,” said Jeff Scott, CEO and co-founder of IPC. “Given these changes, IPC is expanding its expertise to better serve our customers. We look forward to capitalizing on Tom’s extensive knowledge and relationships to grow our mobile commerce business.”

With more than 20 years of experience in wireless/IP payment processing products and managed services, along with payment gateway market and channel development, McCole previously was executive director of affiliates at Heartland Payment Systems, headquartered in Princeton, NJ. He focused on business and relationship development for retail, restaurant and mobile commerce technology companies, as well as product development and M&A activity.

Prior to this position, McCole was employed as a consultant to Bob Carr, the CEO of Heartland Payment Systems, where he was charged with developing an integration strategy for ISVs and creating a multi-product margin stack model for the company. McCole also served as a principal for Atomic Mobile Payments in Dawsonville, Ga., and was a vice president of Hypercom Solutions Group in Scottsdale, Ariz.

“The market is just beginning to understand the many applications of mobile commerce and realize their benefits,” McCole said. “I am looking forward to bringing my payments industry expertise to the great team at IPC to drive the company’s leadership in the space.”

Based out of Atlanta, McCole has a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Florida Atlantic University.
