National Financial Partners Announces New Corporate Name and Organizational Structure

Changes reflect a more streamlined and integrated company

NEW YORK--()--NFP, a leading insurance broker and consultant that provides employee benefits, property & casualty (P&C), retirement, and individual insurance and wealth management solutions, announces the change of its legal name from National Financial Partners Corp. to NFP Corp. The new name aligns with recent organizational changes that combined the company’s core capabilities into two complementary business segments:

  • Insurance Brokerage & Consulting (IBC) – A leading insurance broker providing corporate benefits, retirement, P&C and individual insurance solutions
  • Advisor Services – A leading independent broker-dealer and registered investment adviser serving independent financial advisors

Moving from three business segments (Corporate Client Group, Individual Client Group and Advisor Services Group) to two is reflective of NFP today — operationally streamlined and delivering clients a broader and more integrated set of solutions.

Douglas W. Hammond, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NFP, further explained the motivation behind both transitions at the 2015 NFP Strategy Summit in Orlando, FL, this week.

“Our new name is a direct result of our emerging prominence as a company commonly known as NFP. The new corporate structure is consistent with our evolution to a more coordinated service model that underscores our strong personal commitment to each of our clients. These changes will further clarify to our employees, clients and prospects who we are, what we offer and how our diverse offerings combine to form a single, powerful suite of resources.”

In 2014, NFP completed 22 acquisitions and rebranded 55 previously acquired companies under the NFP name. The recent initiatives support NFP’s ongoing expansion plans and its coordination of resources to strengthen its integrated platform.
