LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--To help the community spring forward and wake up for Daylight Saving Time this Sunday, March 8, 2015, Wescom Credit Union is surprising customers at select locations of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® by paying for their coffee and breakfast bill. Tabs will be paid beginning the moment the doors open in the morning until $2000-worth of bills are paid for at each of the sixteen designated locations.
“It’s tough waking up for Daylight Saving Time so we wanted to provide a little help to get the day going for people by treating them to breakfast and coffee,” states Deena Spicer, Wescom Credit Union Senior Vice President Administration. “Also, just as we often hear about using this date to remember to check the batteries in your smoke detector, this is a good time of year to think about saving for your future. Sometimes a small change can make a big difference and reevaluating your current financials once a year is a good way to ensure that you are on the right path.”
Wescom Credit Union has chosen sixteen locations of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® to share their random acts of kindness this Sunday, including the Encino cafe, located at 16101 Ventura Boulevard (Ventura & Woodley) Encino, CA 91316, where Wescom representatives will be on-site paying for breakfast. Additional participating locations are available online at www.wescom.org/wescomkindness. Each selected location will receive $2000 from Wescom to pay customer food and beverage bills - up to $15 per transaction.
“We’re excited that Wescom Credit Union invited The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® to participate in their Daylight Saving event. We are a Southern California café where many customers visit to jumpstart their day. Learning that Wescom (Credit Union) is generously buying their breakfast on Sunday will bring big smiles to everyone,” states Diane Kuyoomjian, Vice President of Marketing at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.
The Daylight Saving event is the first of many fun activities Wescom Credit Union has in store for the coming months to bring So Cal community kindness. Unsuspecting customers at establishments throughout the Southland may find themselves the recipients of random acts of kindness by getting their tabs picked up for movies, restaurants, food trucks and many other ways that will surprise and delight. Advance announcements about locations and times for some events will go out via social media but often the best moments take place when customers have no idea that their bill is about to be paid. Wescom Credit Union will be treating random Los Angeles and Orange County patrons to free dining, entertainment and other savings opportunities through July 4, 2015. You never know when a little extra savings may happen.
