USHCC Announces David Rubenstein to Address Business Leaders at 2015 Legislative Summit

WASHINGTON--()--The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) is proud to announce that David Rubenstein, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of The Carlyle Group and celebrated philanthropist, will provide remarks at the organization's Gala, taking place during the USHCC Legislative Summit on March 26, 2015 in Washington, D.C. Each year, the Gala brings together business leaders and elected officials as the closing event of the USHCC’s Legislative Summit - the organization’s premier, bipartisan political advocacy event. Previous speakers have included CEO and Chairman of Goldman Sachs Lloyd Blankfein, Vice President Joe Biden, Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, and Senator Rand Paul, and Senator John McCain.

As Co-Founder and Co-CEO of The Carlyle Group, David Rubenstein has helped grow the Washington, D.C.-based global asset management firm from its founding in 1987 to one of the largest firms of its kind. The Carlyle Group operates in private equity, market strategies and as a fund of funds, with more than 1,650 investors from 78 countries with over $190 billion in assets.

David Rubenstein is a signer of The Giving Pledge, a commitment by some of the world’s wealthiest individuals to dedicate a majority of their earnings to philanthropy. Rubenstein’s well-known donations include those to: the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the restoration of the Washington Monument, and a copy of the Magna Carta to the National Archives.

In addition, David Rubenstein currently serves as Chairman of the Boards of Trustees of the John F.
