SOMERSET, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SHI International Corp., one of North America's top 15 largest IT solutions providers, earned a record $6 billion in revenue last year. The company hit other milestones in 2014 as well, building its global team to more than 2,800 employees and expanding its real estate and infrastructure in New Jersey and elsewhere.
“Our consistent, substantial growth is a direct result of our close partnerships and our team’s unmatched ability to help customers select, deploy, and manage their technology,” said Thai Lee, President and CEO of SHI International Corp. “As we enter 2015, SHI is poised for continued success as we deliver innovative and increasingly integrated technology solutions that fulfill customers’ business needs.”
SHI’s 2014 growth also came in the form of hiring. More than 350 new employees joined the SHI team in 2014, swelling the ranks beyond 2,800 members for the first time. To keep up with the company’s expanding team, SHI purchased and secured additional real estate and infrastructure in the U.K.; Austin, Texas; and New Jersey.
In particular, SHI is doubling down on central New Jersey at a time when some organizations are moving away from the state. In 2014, SHI purchased 300 Davidson Avenue, a property adjacent to SHI’s current world headquarters that immediately doubled the size of SHI’s campus to more than 900,000 square feet of combined office space. SHI also signed a lease on a new Integration Center at 10 Knox Drive in Piscataway, New Jersey. This new location will significantly increase SHI’s warehousing and configuration capacity over the current Integration Center.
“Our success has given us the opportunity to build our team in a way that will drive growth and deliver a superior level of customer service,” continued Lee. “As we grow, we continue to invest in New Jersey and expand our footprint in the state.”
Each of SHI's sales divisions drove significant individual revenue growth in 2014, with the Corporate and Public Sectors expanding the fastest at 30 percent and 18 percent year over year, respectively. Combined with the 11 percent year-over-year growth of both the Strategic and Commercial Enterprise teams, SHI now has four sales organizations exceeding $1 billion in revenue.
2014 revenues include results for SHI and a related business under common ownership.
