Brightspark Travel Renews Three-Year Agreement for Outback Bowl

Company’s events team produces outstanding mass band performance for the 2015 halftime show.

DEERFIELD, Ill.--()--After an exemplary event this past New Year’s Day, Brightspark Travel and the Outback Bowl have reached a three-year agreement that secures Brightspark Events’ production of the bowl game’s halftime show through the January 2018 game. The company will continue to put on a mass band halftime performance featuring the talent of high school marching bands from throughout the country.

This agreement follows the excellent outcome of the 2015 Outback Bowl halftime show. With a total of 2,800 high school performers, Brightspark Events more than doubled the number of participants of the 2014 show. “I know how hard the kids and their band directors and instructors worked, as well as our event team, who worked for months on the music, choreography and logistics of planning this amazing event,” said Mike Schields, the president of Brightspark Travel.

In addition to the halftime show, Brightspark Events’ Outback Bowl marching band festival is a three-day event in Tampa Bay filled with adjudicated competitions, clinics and a parade. Richard Miles, who directed the mass band performance and served as a clinician, said, “The Outback Bowl experience for high school bands is a remarkable one and unlike most other bowl and national level events.”
