SEH Selected as Aviation Engineering Consultant for Duluth, Minn. Airports

ST. PAUL, Minn.--()--The Duluth Airport Authority (DAA) selected Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc. (SEH®) to serve as its aviation engineering consultant. As part of a five-year contract, SEH will help DAA make improvements aimed at addressing aging infrastructure, increasing safety, and providing more opportunities for carriers and travelers at Duluth International Airport (DLH) and Duluth Sky Harbor Airport (DYT).

With more than 150,000 travelers boarding aircraft each year, DLH ranks as the second largest commercial airport in the State of Minnesota, behind the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. While SEH has completed airport projects for DLH and DYT in the past, this marks the first time the Company has been selected as DAA's prime engineering consultant for both airports.

DAA's mission is to provide safe, secure, customer-friendly, progressive air transportation facilities that serve the traveling public and promote economic growth. SEH will help DAA achieve its mission by helping to secure funding and completing projects identified in their Capital Improvement Plan including the planning, design and construction of three major runway projects. In addition, SEH will provide general civil engineering, land surveying, architecture, environmental services, airport planning, financial consulting, construction administration and public relations.

Being selected to serve as the DAA's consultant follows in the footsteps of SEH being selected as the prime aviation engineering consultant for the Jackson Hole, Wyoming Airport which boards more than 295,000 passengers a year and selection to serve as aviation engineering consultant for the Cheyenne Airport, which is the largest airport in Wyoming.
