Austin-based EnviroMedia Awarded Federal Contract with Options of Up to 20 Years

AUSTIN, Texas--()--EnviroMedia has been awarded a five-year Advertising & Integrated Marketing Solutions (AIMS) Schedule 541 contract by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), the procurement agency for the federal government. This new contract for the Austin-based small business includes options for three renewals of five years each (20 years total).

EnviroMedia’s Schedule 541 (or Multiple Award Schedule) contract is the culmination of a rigorous evaluation process. GSA officials carefully scrutinize companies to determine their proficiency and suitability for providing services to the federal government. This assessment covers a wide range of the corporation’s capabilities, including organizational structure, performance history, customer satisfaction, and price.

“EnviroMedia is one of the few integrated marketing agencies doing business with the U.S. government that has niche expertise in developing public health and environmental campaigns,” said EnviroMedia President and Co-founder Kevin Tuerff. “There has been renewed emphasis by the feds on contracting with small business, so the timing is great.”

EnviroMedia, which has 45 employees, opened a Washington, D.C., office in 2013. With the streamlined GSA procurement process in place, the company can now provide marketing and communications services to federal agencies like the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of Energy, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of the Interior, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the Department of Transportation, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

“When we started EnviroMedia, recycling and composting were king, and big tobacco settlements were just being announced,” said Valerie Davis, CEO and co-founder. “Today, drought and climate change dominate environmental news, while the world is coping with new health issues like Ebola and e-cigarettes. We’re hoping our regional and national experience in our niche will appeal to forward-looking government leaders.”
