MediaTec Publishing Rebranded as Human Capital Media

Vision and mission unveiled and executive leadership announced as company continues push to be definitive source for industry intelligence

CHICAGO--()--MediaTec Publishing, as part of its rebranding effort, announces that the company's three HR and learning-related brands, Chief Learning Officer, Talent Management and Workforce will be housed under the Human Capital Media (HCM) umbrella. This rebranding also includes an overarching company vision and mission statement, along with a new humancapitalmedia.com website. Human Capital Media is the largest integrated media company serving the human capital industry.

“We started 15 years ago with a focus on career development,” said newly appointed HCM President John Taggart. “However, as we continued to solicit feedback from our readers and stakeholders, we soon learned that companies wanted to find out how to invest in their workforce. To equip leaders, we evolved and grew to include a diverse portfolio of media brands that help companies, in one way or another, create resonating purpose for their workforce.”

The new vision and mission statements, combined with HCM’s new website, are designed to provide the company’s audience with a better understanding of Human Capital Media’s purpose, differentiators and values. HCM also reorganized its leadership team to streamline workflow and greater accentuate each team member’s strengths. The new leadership team consists of:

  • Trey Smith — Vice President of Events

“This is the first time we have formally established the vision for Human Capital Media,” said Mike Prokopeak, who became editor in chief of HCM in August. “The new vision — ‘better workplaces, better lives’ — explains why our readers wake up and go to work every day and why we as editors and researchers dedicate ourselves to the work we do.”
