Pacific Life Foundation Awards $320,000 to 29 Nonprofit Organizations and Schools in Greater Omaha

OMAHA, Neb.--()--The Pacific Life Foundation announced today, that for the 10th consecutive year, it will provided funding to support the areas of arts and culture; civic, community, and environment; education, and health and human services in the communities where Pacific Life employees live and work in the greater Omaha, Nebraska area. In 2015, the Pacific Life Foundation will contribute a total of $6 million in grants nationwide.

Grants totaling $297,500 will be awarded for specific programs to the following 20 nonprofit organizations in Nebraska in 2015.

The Foundation’s 3T’s of Education program will give a total of $22,500 in grants to local K-12 schools where there are concentrations of children and grandchildren of Pacific Life employees. A 3T’s of Education grant must be designated in one of the following areas: Teacher Training, Textbooks, or Technology. The nine Omaha area schools that will be given a 2015 3T’s of Education grant are:

  • Elkhorn South High (Elkhorn)
  • Louisville Elementary (Louisville)
  • Millard South High (Omaha)
  • Parkview Heights Elementary (LaVista)
  • Ronald Reagan Elementary (Omaha)
  • Saint Robert Bellarmine (Omaha)
  • Westbrook Elementary (Omaha)
  • Wilma Upchurch Elementary (Omaha)

The Pacific Life Foundation donates to nonprofit organizations dedicated to improving the quality of life in communities primarily with large concentrations of Pacific Life employees. Currently, Pacific Life has 368 employees working in its regional business center in Omaha, Nebraska. The Pacific Life Good Guys, an employee volunteer program, volunteered over 1,100 hours at 22 nonprofit projects within the greater Omaha area throughout 2014.
