The auction took place on the Arkansas State University (ASU) campus with proceeds from the auction directed to assist underprivileged students in the area.

Portions of the farm sold for $9,000 per acre, while the largest tract of land went for more than $7,000 per acre resulting in a total sale price well over $1 million. All proceeds will go to help disadvantaged students in the Buffalo Island Central School District obtain a college education at ASU.
