PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Strengthening its work with purpose-driven brands, Maxwell PR is taking Dave’s Killer Bread, the Pacific Northwest rock star, national. The agency is launching an aggressive media and blogger relations effort, social advertising and a brand platform built on the company’s commitment to hiring people with criminal backgrounds.
“Due to our rapid growth, we conducted a competitive review to determine the best fit for a strategic communications partner. Maxwell blew us away from day one,” said John Tucker, CEO of Dave’s Killer Bread. “They have the national media relationships and chops to help grow brands, and the deep food industry experience Dave’s Killer Bread needs to generate national consumer awareness. But what was most important to us is the team’s fire for our mission of bridging second chances with lasting change and the importance of doing business with heart. Expertise and passion is a powerful combination.”
Just in time for the holiday season, Maxwell also is launching the first integrated blogger relations and content marketing program for 100-year-old Diamond of California. Designed to strengthen loyalty for its culinary nuts, the program includes extensive media outreach, managing a paid brand ambassador program, content development, community management and social advertising.
The new additions close a year of growth, which Maxwell anticipates will top 15 percent in 2014. It follows the agency’s increased emphasis on integrated marketing, including content and community management, social advertising and promotions. Last fall it also opened a PR Studio in Burlington, Vt. managed by Chrystie Heimert, who formerly held roles at Seventh Generation and Ben & Jerry’s.
“By taking a cross-office, integrated approach to our work, we’re providing clients with more progressive public relations strategies that incorporate traditional initiatives with more media agnostic forms of storytelling and engagement,” said Jen Maxwell-Muir, agency founder and principal. “We also offer a wider lens on sustainable brands and consumer behavior that’s attractive to businesses looking to make an authentic impact.”
