MegaFood Launches The Transparency Project, an Undressed and Unscripted 6-week Live Web Series

  • Six-week Educational Series Will Stream Live Online for Insider Look into Company and How Whole Food Supplements Are Made
  • Latest in a Series of Programs Designed to Educate Consumers and Support the Natural Retailer

DERRY, NH--()--MegaFood™, a leading whole food supplement producer and champion of the natural retailer, today announced the launch of The MegaFood Transparency Project, a six-week unscripted web series that will allow the company to provide natural food retailers and consumers an unfiltered look at the company’s products and practices.

Every Tuesday starting November 18 and concluding December 23 MegaFood will stream a 15-30-minute episode live on its website, found here: megafood.com/live. Each week, viewers will be able to get a behind-the-scenes, no-holds-barred look at how the company operates, and see exactly what goes into to making their “fresh from farm to tablet™” natural supplements. Planned show topics include following the produce acquisition process from start to finish, meeting MegaFood team members and getting an inside look at company culture, examining the reason behind MegaFood’s commitment to using real food from family-owned farms, and more.

"During my time here at MegaFood, I’ve worked to make the company one of the most transparent in the industry,” said Robert Craven, CEO of MegaFood. “Transparency helps companies like ours separate from the small group of bad players in the industry and drives consumers to expect more from the brands they support. We aim to join with other great companies to set an example for how companies can increase transparency, which will elevate the industry as a whole and support natural retailers."

Transparency has always been a key value at MegaFood. Cameras live stream the Slo-Food Process™ 24 hours a day, from the arrival of the fresh ingredients all the way to the bottling process. Because of MegaFood’s farm fresh partnerships, consumers are able to track the whole food that is in their vitamins down to the field where it was grown. This new program is an opportunity to educate and bring a previously unknown process to life, and share it with the world.

Craven also released an open letter to natural retailers, explaining the company’s commitment to the industry and inviting them and their customers to become more informed by watching the series. “In the aisles of natural retail stores is where all the magic happens,” said Craven. “We want to give natural retailers a bird’s eye view into the products they sell, so they can continue to educate and inspire their customers.”

MegaFood has been crafting whole food supplements with farm fresh, local foods for over 40 years, and is committed to sourcing ingredients from family-owned farms throughout the United States and Canada to deliver the most wholesome nutrition.
