Hal has been a pillar of the local community and continues to lend his vast experience. As a multi-generational resident of San Mateo, he is past director and president of the San Mateo Chamber of Commerce, Merchants Association, Historical Association, and St. John’s Cemetery. He has been past director of the Mental Health Association of San Mateo County, Hillsborough Beautification Foundation, and San Mateo Arboretum Society. He currently serves on the City of San Mateo Investment Advisory Committee.
