SOMERSET, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SHI International Corp., one of North America's top 20 largest IT solutions providers, posted $1.48 billion in revenue for the third quarter of 2014, bringing its year-to-date total to $4.05 billion, a 15 percent surge over the same period in 2013.
Driven by huge growth of legacy partners, revenue rose across Microsoft products, legacy hardware, and data center and networking solutions. Microsoft revenue jumped 28 percent in the third quarter year over year, fueled by migrations from Windows Server 2003 as it approaches end of life and upgrades to the latest version of Microsoft SQL Server.
Apple, Dell, Lenovo, HP, and Panasonic led 25 percent blended growth among legacy hardware partners for the third quarter year over year. In addition, SHI’s data center and networking practice leapt a blended 35 percent over the same period, elevated by Cisco, EMC, NetApp, and Oracle.
“The third quarter of 2014 was business as usual at SHI: a consistent surge in growth and a deepening of key partnerships,” said Thai Lee, President and CEO of SHI International Corp. “The end of life for Windows Server 2003 and a new version of SQL have given more organizations an opportunity to refresh their systems, and our dedicated team has helped them respond to these changes. Our partnerships are the root of our business, and as the third quarter underscores once again, the fruit of those partnerships continues to multiply.”
