WEST BLOOMFIELD, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MLive recently announced that Barbat Holdings LLC is among the finalists for its 10th annual Deals of the Year for 2014. Barbat Holdings, owned by CEO Joe Barbat, is re-developing The Montgomery House in to a 30 unit ultra high end condominium development. The building was originally the Montgomery Ward building located in the heart of downtown Ann Arbor. Barbat Holdings purchased the building, located at 210-216 Fourth Avenue in downtown Ann Arbor in 2013.

The first level will include a variety of retail establishments, including restaurants. The basement will house the Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase which opens its doors this week. The condos – 30 units in all, ranging from studios to three bedroom penthouse units – give their occupants the best of upscale urban living, just steps from their doors.
Construction on Montgomery House is well under way, with residents expected to move in starting in Q3 2015. The Montgomery House renovation is part of a renaissance, expanding the downtown area and making Fourth Avenue a hot spot.
