MANCHESTER, N.H.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mount Washington College today announced that Dr. Donald G. Knezek, former Chief Executive Officer of International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), has joined the College’s Board of Trustees.
“Don brings more than 40 years of experience and leadership in education technology,” said Francis (Frank) Mulgrew, President of Mount Washington College. “As we continue to grow our national online programs, his guidance and expertise will prove beneficial to both the College and our students.”
Dr. Knezek served as CEO of ISTE for ten years, retiring from this position in 2012. He previously was a director for ISTE’s National Center for Preparing Tomorrow’s Teachers to Use Technology (NCPT3). Dr. Knezek also held leadership positions with the Regional Education Service Center in San Antonio, Texas; the Center for Educator Development and Technology; the Texas State Department of Education, Technology Division; and the Eanes Public School District in Austin.
In addition to his 20 years of classroom leadership and teaching, Dr. Knezek is a member of the American Society of Association Executives, American Association of School Administrators, Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, International Society for Technology in Education, ISTE Special Interest Group for Teacher Education and the Texas Computer Education Association.
Dr. Knezek earned his PhD in Educational Administration from the University of Texas, Austin and was a Fellow in the Cooperative Superintendency Program. He completed Graduate Study in Computer Science at the University of North Texas, his master’s degree in Mathematics at the University of Hawaii and his bachelor’s in mathematics from Dartmouth College.
