TrustComm Expands Sales Organization with Addition of Two Senior Executives

Industry Veterans Represent TrustComm’s Continued Commitment to Best Serve Its Global Customer Base

STAFFORD, Va.--()--TrustComm Inc., the premier small-business provider of assured satellite communications solutions to government and commercial organizations, today announced it has expanded its global sales organization with the addition of two highly experienced industry professionals – Michael Abad-Santos and Joe Apa.

The addition of these two recognized and proven industry leaders is indicative of TrustComm’s continued growth and commitment to its worldwide commercial and government customer base.

Mr. Abad-Santos has been named TrustComm’s Chief Commercial Officer and Mr. Apa has been named the Company’s Vice President, Global Sales.

As Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Abad-Santos leads TrustComm’s growing worldwide sales organization. For the past 10 years he held senior sales-management positions with Inmarsat and Stratos Global. In those posts, he managed global sales teams meeting the demanding mobile satellite requirements of numerous government agencies and commercial organizations. Mr. Abad-Santos was instrumental in improving Stratos’ annual sales revenues exponentially over five years, and nearly doubled Inmarsat’s Global Government business in just two years.

From TrustComm’s new UK office, Mr. Apa leads TrustComm’s market expansion efforts in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). His 25 years’ experience in the satellite industry, most recently as the Vice President of Maritime Sales Asia at Inmarsat, also includes several senior sales management positions with Stratos Global and Scientific-Atlanta. While at Stratos, Mr. Apa helped establish its EMEA business from a start-up to more than $30 million in five years. In an expanded role as Director, Enterprise and Government for UK and Americas, he oversaw revenue growth of more than $15 million over three years. More recently, Mr. Apa was responsible for overseeing the success of Inmarsat’s Global Maritime Retail business, achieving record sales of more than $210 million in 2013.

TrustComm CEO Bob Roe said the expansion is part of the Company’s steady growth strategy, which began when the Company was acquired by new ownership last year.

“The addition of these two industry veterans demonstrates our commitment to staffing our organization with highly experienced professionals. Our executive team boasts nearly 150 years combined experience providing COMSATCOM solutions to businesses and government agencies worldwide,” Roe said.

He concluded, “Michael and Joe are highly respected executives who bring the optimal levels of technical expertise and market knowledge to our organization, which is critical as we introduce Starlight and our entire portfolio of assured satellite solutions to key markets.”
