LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--In massive strides towards global education goals set down by UNESCO, Zambia is actively seeking teachers to help educate tens of thousands of students from across the country. SeekTeachers, a leading international education consultancy, has been actively tasked by a school in the country to help recruit inspirational and motivated teachers in a bid to help educate the new youth of Zambia. Recruitment for the fairs has already opened up on the website and the fair is planned to take place in London on the 11th & 12th of November 2014 and on the 27th & 28th of January 2015.
However, this isn’t the first time SeekTeachers has worked in the country, since the company’s origins and it has placed many teachers all across Africa. One teacher placed in Zambia, Shelagh Dempsey, shares her thoughts on the service and her consultant: “Owen Ferris [is a] fantastic recruiter. Although I hadn’t thought about returning to Africa, Owen knew the needs of his client and saw a match with my CV. His insight into the client’s needs and how to match them with the job seekers is intuitive. Thank you for all you have done for me, and I look forward to another pleasant experience if/when I decide it’s time to move on from Zambia.”
In recent months, SeekTeachers has also been working with charity African Revival which works with rural schools in Zambia and Uganda, training teachers to work in the schools and improving the local infrastructure. SeekTeachers has donated £1000 to the charity which will provide education for 40 African schoolchildren across these countries. African Revival’s Fundraising and Communications Director, Holly Smith, gives her thanks: “We’re delighted to be supported by SeekTeachers, and through their generosity we will be able to continue our work of creating thriving learning environments so that every child can fulfil their potential.”
