TEANECK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nominations are now being accepted for the annual SAFE-BioPharma “Digi” Awards, recognizing innovative uses of the global SAFE-BioPharma® digital identity and digital signature standard, and the institutions and individuals contributing to broader understanding of their benefits.
SAFE-BioPharma, the global industry standard for digital trust, was developed to help the biopharmaceutical and healthcare communities transition to paperless environments. The standard is managed by SAFE-BioPharma Association, a non-profit consortium of biopharmaceutical and related companies. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the European Medicines Agency participated in its development.
Past recipients include European Medicines Agency, Astellas Pharma, DocuSign, Verizon Business, individuals at the National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health and other organizations, and Life Science Leaders and World Pharmaceutical Frontiers magazines.
Organizations and individuals are invited to submit brief nominations in any of the following award categories:
- Innovative implementation of the SAFE-BioPharma standard (Pilots or Implementations)
Innovative product compliance
- For a Partner whose service or product is compliant with the SAFE-BioPharma standard
- Individual who has contributed to standard's use and advancement
- New advances in regulatory acceptance
- Use of standard globally or regionally
- For advancing understanding and use of the standard
Deadline for nominations is January 15, 2015. Nominations will be judged by SAFE-BioPharma personnel. Winners will be announced Q2, 2015.
