T-Mobile Un-leashes Data-Strong™ 4G LTE Throughout Cincinnati Metro Area

America’s fastest nationwide 4G LTE network now covers Cincinnati and its surrounding areas

CINCINNATI--()--T-Mobile (NYSE: TMUS) today announced that customers throughout the Cincinnati metropolitan area will now be able to experience America’s fastest nationwide 4G LTE network where they live, work, and play−from Saylor Park to Socialville to Covington in Northern Kentucky.

“Combine the Un-carrier consumer revolution with America’s fastest nationwide LTE network, and you’ve got a truly unmatched wireless experience,” said Jennifer Silveira, Central Area Vice President of Engineering, T-Mobile. “Data-hungry Cincinnati area customers who’ve been enjoying T-Mobile’s lightning-fast 4G HSPA+ are going to fall in love with our Data-Strong™ 4G LTE.”

Not all wireless companies and their networks are created equal. T-Mobile’s 4G LTE network is designed Data-Strong−delivering more data capacity per customer than any of the old national carriers. And customers of the Un-carrier™ are making the most of America’s fastest nationwide 4G LTE network by surfing, streaming, shopping, and posting online more than customers of any other major national wireless provider. In fact, American wireless customers who use the most data choose T-Mobile.

And customers in and around the Cincinnati metro area are no exception. During the month of September alone, T-Mobile customers in the area used an average of about 1.5 GB of data each while streaming more than 15 million songs on Pandora, watching nine million YouTube videos, and viewing more than ¼ million Netflix movies.

To experience 4G LTE speeds in the Cincinnati area, customers need to have an LTE Band II (1900MHz)-capable device. Among the many Cincinnati area landmarks, suburbs and towns now covered by T-Mobile’s Band II 4G LTE network are:

  • Blue Ash
  • Cincinnati Zoo
  • Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport
  • Fairfield
  • Hamilton
  • Mason
  • Norwood
  • Paul Brown Stadium
  • Great American Ballpark
  • University of Cincinnati
  • Covington, Kentucky
  • Among many others

Silveira added, “Our local T-Mobile stores are excited to show Cincinnatians, especially Cincinnati Bell Wireless customers looking for a more superior option than Verizon, what the Un-carrier can deliver – an amazing network at a great price!”

For a limited time, T-Mobile is offering customers four smartphone lines with unlimited talk, text, and 2.5 GB data per line for $100 per month until 2016, with no domestic overages - all on T-Mobile’s Data-Strong network.

Often imitated, never duplicated, T-Mobile’s Data-Strong™ network leads the industry and was the first to launch:

  • Next-gen Wi-Fi Calling in September 2014
  • Nationwide HD Voice in January 2013
  • Nationwide Voice over LTE (VoLTE) in July 2014

Capacity Claim Basis: congestion experienced; per customer. 2.5 GB data per line/month until 1/2/16; then 1GB data per line. Taxes & fees additional. See T-Mobile.com for details.
