LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--NACS Show, Booth #5204
AJB Software Design announced today of their successful launch of EMV at the Pump, in partnership with Gilbarco Veeder-Root, for a large global grocery and petroleum retailer in two global locations: Sydney, Australia and Liverpool, UK.
The introduced solution changes the consumer experience by enabling multiple self-service pay points, therefore eliminating the need to go to a separate pay- island to complete the transaction. “Faster fueling times improve the customer experience and provide merchants the ability to concentrate on in-store sales,” says Bohdan Myroniw, Director Business Development at AJB Software Design.
“In working with AJB, Gilbarco has continued to grow our geographic footprint and reinforce our global leadership in forecourt payment. This collaboration has allowed us to certify and deliver electronic payment system (EPS) solutions in new markets with a variety of international banks and acquirers,” said Josh Raha, Director Product Management for Payment and Secure Products. “Our partnership results in an enhanced consumer experience, thanks to excellent quality and security.”
Chip and PIN technology has been widely accepted in the UK and Australia for over 10 years in wider retail. The upcoming “liability shift” date in the US for general retail is October 2015, and for AFD in the Petroleum and C-Store sector, is scheduled for October 2017.
