KANSAS CITY, Mo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Stueve Siegel Hanson LLP, a firm specializing in complex business litigation on a contingency fee basis, announced the opening of its newest office at 1359 Broadway, Suite 2001, New York, New York.
The addition of the New York office establishes a coast to coast presence for the firm. Stueve Siegel also has offices in Kansas City, Missouri and San Diego, California.
The New York office will be led by attorney Darren Kaplan. He was formerly a partner at Chitwood Harley Harnes LLP and Harnes Keller LLP in New York, where he litigated a number of cases in the areas of corporate governance, investor rights, securities fraud and consumer protection. In addition to representing shareholders in derivative and class action litigation, Darren also focuses on representing institutional investors in litigation and arbitration of significant transactional claims and has written extensively on the legal issues surrounding hedge funds and private equity funds as well as structured asset-backed securities, derivatives, and swaps.
“As more businesses consider prosecuting cases on a contingency basis we have expanded our geographic reach to both coasts,” said partner Norman Siegel. “We are delighted to launch the office with Darren Kaplan, who we have worked with on several contingency matters over the years and know is an outstanding lawyer,” said partner Patrick Stueve.
Stueve Siegel Hanson LLP is one of a few national law firms representing plaintiffs and defendants in complex business disputes on a contingency basis. Rather than charging hourly fees, Stueve Siegel is compensated only if they win, aligning the interest of lawyer and client.
