CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--In celebration of World Animal Day on Sat., Oct. 4, an international day of action to raise awareness for animal issues throughout the world, Dawn hosted a “Day in the Wildlife” event to spotlight the vital role that International Bird Rescue (IBR) and The Marine Mammal Center play in the health and wellness of marine animals worldwide. Together with hundreds of partners across the globe, there are nearly 100,000 volunteers serving on a daily basis saving the lives of tens of thousands of animals each year. When the issue involves oil spills, these partners rely on Dawn to get the animals clean because it’s soft on feathers and tough on grease. The World Animal Day celebration was attended by animal advocates and hosted at the IBR in San Pedro, Calif., and included the release of rehabilitated birds back into the wild.

Adrian Grenier and Keegan Allen Join to Celebrate World Animal Day
During the IBR event, guests experienced an exclusive tour of the facility and shadowed veteran volunteers for a behind-the-scenes look at the work involved in operating a wildlife rescue organization. To culminate the World Animal Day celebration, animal advocates, Keegan Allen and Adrian Grenier participated in the release of nine rehabilitated birds back into the wild – including a California Brown Pelican – their rehabilitation and recovery of which was made possible thanks to IBR volunteers and staff.
