COLUMBIA, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Colonial Life & Accident Insurance Company, which supports more than 80,000 of America’s businesses and their employees, launched a new website today catering to the nation’s small business owners.
Tools on the site (http://www.coloniallife.com/smallbusiness) include a free e-book on common mistakes when growing a small business. It identifies common concerns of small business owners — finding and keeping the right people, managing cash flow — and offers tips on addressing those issues.
The site also offers blog posts on topics from managing Millennials to cost-saving ideas. New posts will be added every week this fall.
“This new site doesn’t have our usual focus on Colonial Life’s products and services,” said Steve Bygott, assistant vice president, market development. “It’s designed to help build our reputation with small business owners as a valuable resource by providing them with information that helps them succeed. Ultimately we hope to generate interest in the solutions Colonial Life can offer small businesses.”
More than 10 million U.S. businesses have fewer than 100 employees. Those small businesses employ nearly 60 million of America’s workers, according to the U.S. Census Bureau (2014). Colonial Life works with employers to provide a wide range of financial protection benefits.
The website is the newest way Colonial Life is expanding its reach into the small business market, following the recent announcement of the company’s sponsorship of “Shark Tank” weeknights on CNBC.
