EFT Source Recognized as Top Technology Leader by IDC Financial Insights for Second Consecutive Year

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--()--EFT Source, Inc., a provider of turnkey card programs and personalization services for ATM and debit cards for financial institutions, announced that it has been recognized as a top technology leader for the second consecutive year by IDC Financial Insights.

The 2014 FinTech Rankings recognize technology companies that obtain more than one third of their total revenue from the financial services industry. To be included, revenues must originate from software, hardware and IT services sold to financial institutions.

“The IDC Financial Insights FinTech Rankings are a global measure of success in the financial services technology industry, and we congratulate this year’s Top 100 FinTech companies and the Top 25 Enterprise companies on their prominent positioning,” said Karen Massey, Senior Analyst for IDC Financial Insights. “These companies have demonstrated commitment and success in supplying innovative and efficient technology to our industry.”

Evidence of the industry’s continued adoption of instant issuance, EFT Source realized a 211 percent increase in the total number of financial institutions using its patented, EMV-capable instant issuance solution, Card@Once, from a year ago. In that same time, Card@Once has also delivered more than half a million cards, while tripling its weekly card volume.

“Technological advancement is paramount for financial institutions to acquire and retain profitable account holders in the wake of data breaches and changing consumer expectations,” said Bill Dinker, president of EFT Source. “We are excited to be included again in the FinTech ranking – a testament to our continued commitment to innovation. We remain at the forefront of industry-wide adoption of instant issuance solutions like Card@Once, and this ranking illustrates our growth and leadership.”

The 2014 FinTech Ranking is compiled by IDC Financial Insights, a leading independent research and advisory firm, and published by Bank Systems & Technology, a comprehensive source of news, analysis and commentary about financial services technology issues.
