COLOGNE, Germany--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CyberLink Corp. (5203.TW) today launched PhotoDirector 6, a major update to its award-winning digital photography workflow solution for Mac OS and Windows. PhotoDirector 6 introduces smart photo merging technology that makes it easy to create flawless panorama shots using innovative content-aware auto-filling. Smart photo merging, together with intelligent smile/face detection, also enables selective blending of multiple group photos in order to create a single perfect group shot.
Additionally, the new version supports 100 new camera models and lenses. It integrates OpenCL for a speed increase of 41% over the previous version when exporting photos, and the new CyberLink Cloud service provides an easy way for users to backup and share their creative projects and templates.

- Photo Merge: Face Swap—Creates the perfect group shot by merging multiple group photos. With smile detection, PhotoDirector automatically identifies the best face captures from a given selection of shots to include in a single composite image. Selections can also be performed manually.
- Enhanced Tone Quality—PhotoDirector 6 refines one of the key adjustments in photo editing. A new tone algorithm retains more details and contrast when tone adjustments are applied.
- Natural Skin Tone Enhancer—Adjusts skin tone in portraits to give a natural-looking lighter or more tanned appearance. Skin detection means adjustments are applied to any areas showing exposed skin, not only the facial area.
- Expanded Camera Support—Decoding for 54 new camera RAW formats, 36 new lens profiles from popular DSLRs, and 10 new camera body profiles providing improved image decoding quality for RAW files.
- OpenCL Acceleration for GPUs—PhotoDirector improves speed and responsiveness of photo handling with integration of the open standard for parallel programming. Exporting photos is up to 41% faster than the previous version.
- CyberLink Cloud Services—PhotoDirector integrates CyberLink Cloud which allows you to easily back up and retrieve your important creations safely and securely. Users receive up to 20GB of free cloud space when they purchase PhotoDirector 6.
