NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Wunderman New York president Jamie Gallo today named Nelson Freitas as Wunderman New York’s first-ever chief strategy officer and brought respected industry veteran Dan Wadleigh aboard as chief financial officer. The moves are Gallo’s first as New York president and are effective immediately.
Freitas Developed New York Strategy Team
With a combination of thought-provoking insights and hard-won experience, Freitas will lead teams in New York, Minneapolis and Atlanta in developing strategy. Freitas will convert analytics to ideas that drive creativity for a variety of clients including Coca-Cola, Citibank and Best Buy. Since joining Wunderman in 2012, Freitas has developed a top-notch strategy team that has played a critical role in winning new business with Papa John’s and Marriott. Before joining Wunderman, Freitas spent time as chief strategy officer at Creative Realities. Prior to that he founded Clear Skies Ahead in 2007. Nelson served as SVP, worldwide group planning director at Ogilvy & Mather from 2002 to 2007, as well as group planning director from 2000 to 2002 at Chiat/Day.
