DELRAY BEACH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Tower MSA Partners, a national provider of Medicare Secondary Compliance services for workers’ compensation and liability, has selected Holly Neary as director of clinical operations. In this newly created position, Neary oversees the company’s pre-Medicare Set-Aside (MSA) review and intervention services.
“She also serves as a clinical liaison with clients and physicians for issues related to inappropriate medication use, particularly regarding the long-term use of opioids to manage chronic pain,” said Tower MSA Partners CEO Rita Wilson, who added that prescription drugs remain the largest cost driver in MSAs.
Neary has worked in pharmacy management in retail and compounding settings for the past 14 years. Most recently she served as director and pharmacy manager of Carter’s Pharmacies in Jacksonville, Fla., where her responsibilities encompassed all pharmacy related operations, including branch activities, state and federal compliance, tracking orders and shipments, and the production of compounded medications.
Previously, she was a clinical specialty pharmacist with United Health, writing guidelines for Medicare and private insurance plans, and then reviewing the appropriateness of care when utilizing specialty prescriptions. She is a graduate of Drake University School of Pharmacy in Des Moines, Iowa.
“Holly has already had a positive impact on our client’s MSAs,” Wilson said. “In addition to implementing work flow optimization and streamlining processes, she works with prescribers to optimize therapeutic outcomes and reduce drug costs.”
