Two clients are highlighted below:
Client: US Conference of Mayors (USCM)
USCM hosted its annual meeting in Dallas, TX this past June to talk about the economy, job creation and other issues impacting metropolitan areas. At the meeting, USCM released a new Metro Economies report, which included employment and economic growth projections for the nation’s 363 metropolitan areas.
Hinton Communications garnered significant national media coverage for the report, including articles in the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, L.A. Times, Boston Globe and Dallas Morning News. In addition, coverage was secured in more than 25 regional papers across the country from Des Moines and St. Louis to Orlando and Atlanta.
Hinton Communications also obtained considerable coverage for the general meeting, including stories with AP, Reuters, Huffington Post, Bloomberg/Businessweek, The Hill, NPR/Morning Edition, Bloomberg TV (including the programs Surveillance, In the Loop and Bottom Line) and Al Jazeera.
Client: Merchants Payments Coalition (MPC)
As part of its media relations strategy for MPC, a group of retailers, supermarkets, drug stores, fuel stations, convenience stores fighting unfair credit card fees and for a more transparent card system, Hinton Communications has won the coalition over a dozen placements in regional media outlets and trade publications this year. Recent placements include the Detroit Free Press, Kansas City Star, Columbus Dispatch, Virginian Pilot, The Hill, Austin American-Statesman and American Banker.
Client: US Conference of Mayors (USCM)
In August, USCM convened the inaugural meeting of its new Cities of Opportunities Taskforce. Led by New York City Mayor Bill DeBlasio, the group released a new report documenting the gradual but dramatic shift, over the past 40 years, of income distribution in the US in favor of upper-income households. Hinton Communications placed stories with a range of national outlets, including the New York Times, US News and World Report, Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg/Businessweek, NBC News, NPR/All Things Considered, and Bloomberg TV. As the report detailed data in the nation’s metropolitan areas, Hinton Communications also targeted regional newspapers across the country and secured coverage in nearly 20 outlets, including the Chicago Tribune, Denver Post, Indianapolis Star, L.A. Times, and Boston Globe.
