SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mazzetti, a global engineering design and consulting firm known for its innovative solutions, is pleased to announce that Scott Wallace, LEED AP and Certified Energy Manager, has joined Mazzetti’s San Francisco office as Associate Principal to expand on the firm’s sustainability services. Wallace joins Mazzetti from Syserco Energy Solutions.
As a Principal and Founding Member of Syserco Energy Solutions, Wallace built and led the energy business from the ground up, achieving consistent triple digit, year-over-year growth and profitability. Experienced in both sales and operations, he is an expert in developing and implementing innovative energy solutions for large-scale commercial buildings resulting in reduced cost, energy consumption, and greenhouse gas emissions while improving occupant comfort and productivity. A key to his success at Syserco was building strong relationships with owners and key stakeholders at large hospitals, municipalities, and school districts.
Prior to Syserco, Wallace spent 14 years with Siemens Building Technologies, Inc. He led sales, business development, and cost estimation for the Northern California Healthcare Vertical Market for Building Automation and Energy Solutions, and was awarded “Professional of the Year” twice with performance in the top 5% nationally.
It was during his tenure at Siemens that Wallace first worked with Mazzetti. He worked with Jon Inman, a Principal of Mazzetti’s San Francisco office, to install a control system for the central plant and main tower of a new hospital. According to Wallace, “My respect for both Jon Inman and Mazzetti grew as we worked together over the years because Mazzetti puts the client‘s goals first.”
Wallace said he gained more appreciation for Mazzetti beyond MEP design, citing the firm’s sustainability services as one reason. Said Wallace, “ASHE’s Energy to Care Program, powered by Mazzetti, works with hospitals across the country to become meaningfully more energy efficient. I’m excited to support Energy to Care and champion greenhouse gas reduction and other sustainability efforts from coast to coast.”
“It’s a great step for Scott Wallace to join Mazzetti’s San Francisco team,” said Jon Inman (Mazzetti’s Pacific Region Lead, and a San Francisco Team Leader). “He’s well regarded for delivering energy solutions in healthcare. There is no doubt Scott will expand and drive our energy services, helping clients realize a real shift in energy consumption and cost for large hospitals.”
