FRANKFORT, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Commonwealth Alliances, one of Kentucky’s most successful Government Relations Firms, has hired Kate Wood, previously Governor Steve Beshear’s Director of Legislative Affairs as well as Deputy Finance Director for Beshear’s campaign. Kate will serve as Senior Associate of State Government Affairs.

Prior to serving in the Beshear Administration, Kate served as Deputy Finance Director of the Beshear/Mongiardo Gubernatorial Campaign and Finance Director of the Lunsford/Stumbo Gubernatorial Campaign. Kate served as Finance Director for the Democrat Caucus of the Virginia House of Delegates and Finance Director for Judy Belk’s congressional campaign in Alabama. Kate is a graduate of Transylvania University and has her Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Louisville.
