WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today, the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste Political Action Committee (CCAGW PAC) announced its endorsements of three members of the Arizona congressional delegation for re-election to the House of Representatives: Reps. Trent Franks (R), Matt Salmon (R), and Dave Schweikert (R). CCAGW PAC based its endorsements on each candidate’s score in CCAGW’s 2013 Congressional Ratings. Each of these candidates is a “Taxpayer Hero” with a lifetime rating of 90 percent or greater.
With a score of 96 percent, Rep. Schweikert has the highest lifetime rating of the three candidates. In CCAGW’s 2012 Congressional Ratings, Rep. Schweikert received a near perfect score of 99 percent. Rep. Franks has a lifetime rating of 95 percent, and Rep. Salmon has a lifetime rating of 94 percent. If re-elected, Rep. Franks would be serving his sixth congressional term, Rep. Salmon would be serving his fifth, and Rep. Schweikert would be serving his third.
“The courageous actions of each of these public servants has helped cut wasteful spending, reduce taxes, and make government more accountable and transparent to taxpayers,” said CCAGW PAC Chairman Tom Schatz. “I urge Arizonans to vote for Reps. Frank, Salmon, and Schweikert on Nov. 4 so they can return to Washington, D.C. and continue to protect the interests of both their constituents and all Americans.”
CCAGW PAC is affiliated with the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste, a 501(c)(4) organization. CCAGW PAC’s mission is to support political candidates who will fight to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse in government and represent the best interests of taxpayers.
