DUBLIN--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/cg2x2f/revealed_the) has announced the addition of the "Revealed- the mysterious world of private banking in the GCC" report to their offering.
As this report highlights, the private banks in the GCC region are a very diverse group of organisations, varying in terms of size, targeted market segments and global reach of corporate parent. For reasons that are explained in this report, the complex competitive landscape has been changing rapidly over the last year or two, and will continue to do so. This report aims to supplement the research that we have carried out this year for Insight Discovery's Middle East Investment Panorama (MEIP) and the reports which preceded it in 2010, 2011 and 2012. It is based on proprietary research that we carried out through the Summer of 2013.
Earlier this year, for instance, Capgemini and RBC Wealth Management published their 2013 World Wealth Report', which provides insights into the world's high net worth individuals (HNWIs) - people with US$1mn or more in investable assets. Capgemini and RBC Wealth Management found that, in 2012, the Middle East was home to around 0.5mn HWNIs (out of 12.0mn globally) who, collectively, had investable wealth of US$1.8tn (out of US$46.2tn globally).
These numbers were, respectively, 8.1% and 8.6% higher than they had been in 2011. By these measures, the regional opportunity for private bankers appears to be expanding more rapidly than the regional economy.
