NonProfit Times Names Eileen Heisman, CEO, National Philanthropic Trust to 2014 “Power & Influence Top 50”

“17th annual celebration of some of the sector’s top executives and strategists”

JENKINTOWN, Pa.--()--The NonProfit Times, the leading business publication for nonprofit management, has named Eileen Heisman, ACFRE, CEO, National Philanthropic Trust (NPT), the nation’s top independent Donor-Advised Fund charity, to its 2014 “Power & Influence Top 50” list for the second time in less than five years.

“There is no question that in the roughly $45 billion donor advised fund world she is the most recognized face and not just in the U.S.,” reads an excerpt from The NonProfit Times article announcing the honor. “She was invited by the Chinese government to speak to their emerging nonprofit sector. And, she is bringing the DAF concept to Europe, opening NPT UK.”

Since 1997, The NonProfit Times has published the list, spotlighting some of the nation’s top executives and strategists that “move the needle” to make the nonprofit sector more effective.

“Everyone at NPT is very thankful such a prestigious publication like The NonProfit Times has recognized, for the second time, Eileen’s tireless dedication to advancing the philanthropic sector,” said Wayne Walker, president of NPT’s Board of Trustees. “She never ceases to amaze me with her innovative ideas, from authoring the Donor-Advised Fund Report to founding a Donor-Advised Fund charity specifically to help donors more easily convert illiquid assets into mission-critical funding for charities around the world.”

List selections were made by The NonProfit Times’ staff, former list members and sector influencers. A gala celebration is slated for September at National Press Club in Washington, D.C. For The NonProfit Times’ complete 2014 “Power & Influence Top 50” visit TheNonProfitTimes.com.
