The Power of Clarity: The year's premier event for life sciences professionals

PHILADELPHIA--()--Revitas, the leading provider of integrated solutions for contract, revenue, and compliance management, today unveiled the agenda and keynote speakers for the 2014 Revitas Industry Summit: Life Sciences. The event will feature keynote speakers Adam J. Fein, Ph.D., Founder and President of Pembroke Consulting and CEO of Drug Channels Inc., and retired U.S. Coast Guard Captain Larry Brudnicki. This premier event for life sciences professionals will unite more than 250 Revitas customers, users, and partners to address complex issues and trends in the pharmaceutical industry, share best practices, and network with colleagues and industry leaders. The theme for this year’s event—The Power of Clarity—provides the framework for a comprehensive and enlightening schedule. The 2014 Revitas Industry Summit: Life Sciences will be held at the Four Seasons Philadelphia on Oct. 21-22, 2014.

Adam J. Fein will lead a comprehensive industry panel titled “The Future of Manufacturing-PBM Contracting.” Duane Barnes, Senior Vice President, Enterprise Operations at Prime Therapeutics; Kevin Host, President of PSG Consulting; and Everett Neville, Vice President and Chief Trade Relations Officer of Express Scripts will serve as panelists and share their extensive industry insights.

Captain Larry Brudnicki, the legendary U.S. Coast Guard Captain known for performing two dramatic rescues off the New England coast in October 1991 during “The Perfect Storm,” the worst storm in more than 100 years, will deliver a keynote address on day two. He will pull from his vast experience to speak about leadership, teamwork, courage, and risk management as strategies for success in today’s uncertain business environment and identify tools for making decisions in the most challenging circumstances.

The 2014 Revitas Industry Summit will address the current and future state of the life sciences industry, and narrow in on the complex issues around managed care, institutional and government markets, and global operations. The event incorporates four distinct educational tracks:

  • Industry Landscape. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of shifts in market dynamics. Sessions present new perspectives, innovative strategies, and tools that will help life sciences companies drive success in changing industry dynamics.
  • Regulatory Landscape. Attendees will learn about processes and solutions for compliance and government prescription drug programs and how to implement changes to adapt to updates in regulations, such as the AMP Final Rule and 340B Mega-Rule.
  • Commercial Programs Perspectives. This track will explore strategies for impactful pricing and incentive strategies that motivate the channel, improve revenue, and drive profitability. Attendees will learn how to integrate business functions to increase visibility and improve outcomes.
  • Finance and IT Perspectives. Sessions will examine the challenges and opportunities for finance and IT executives – including new deployment options, enabling effective operations, and impacts on margins and the bottom line.

Additionally, attendees will be treated to an evening gala among world-class art at the Philadelphia Museum of Art on Oct. 21 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

“The 2014 Revitas Industry Summit: Life Sciences will provide a forum for attendees to gain a deeper understanding of the new state of the industry and plan a clear course for success, as many landmark regulations stemming from the Affordable Care Act have now come to fruition,” said Jon Smith, Director of Industry Development at Revitas. “It is vital for organizations to develop and implement a strategy for integrated contract, revenue, and compliance management to stay ahead in today’s competitive marketplace.
