HIGH POINT, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Culp, Inc. (NYSE: CFI), today announced the promotion of Boyd Chumbley to Executive Vice President of Culp Upholstery Fabrics. Chumbley is responsible for management of this division, including sales, design, customer service, inventory management, global logistics and quality assurance, and will oversee the company’s international operations in China and Poland. He will report directly to Frank Saxon, president and chief executive officer.
Chumbley brings over 30 years of experience with Culp to this position. He most recently served as Senior Vice President of Operations for Culp Upholstery Fabrics and has held various senior management positions in finance, operations and manufacturing. He joined the company in 1984 as controller for one of Culp’s upholstery plants. Chumbley holds a bachelor’s degree from Radford University.
