SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--U.S. Bank customers can make donations to the American Red Cross at approximately 500 U.S. Bank ATMs in Washington and Oregon to support the humanitarian organization’s disaster relief efforts, like wildfires in Washington and Oregon. The funds will go directly to the Red Cross.
U.S. Bank ATMs will accept contributions through Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014.
“Thanks to the generosity of U.S. Bank, the Red Cross is able to provide food, shelter, emotional support and clean-up tools to the people affected by the Western wildfires as they work to rebuild their lives,” said Neal Litvack, chief development officer, American Red Cross.
“U.S. Bank wants to provide its customers another opportunity to make a donation to the Red Cross to help with its disaster relief efforts,” said U.S. Bank Community Banking Division President James Grigsby. “It’s important to support the Red Cross because it provides valuable and necessary services to people during a time of crisis.”
In addition, the public can make $10 donations to American Red Cross Disaster Relief by texting REDCROSS to: 90999.
U.S. Bank and the Red Cross established a partnership in 2012 that includes an annual commitment of $250,000 from U.S. Bank that will help the Red Cross prepare for vital disaster services. U.S. Bank continues to work closely with the Red Cross throughout the year to provide opportunities for employees to donate blood and volunteer time to the charity.
