LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--This upcoming weekend, Austin Dyne and his Barracuda Racing #14 Ford Fiesta will be competing at The Dirt Track located at Charlotte Motor Speedway for the fifth event of the Red Bull Global Rallycross season. Charlotte is the perfect location to host Red Bull GRC, as it is well known as a hub of motorsports in the United States.
This event will mark the halfway point in the season, and it’s apparent that Dyne has come a long way since the start of the season. As a rookie in Supercars after competing in GRC Lites last year, Dyne has worked hard to compete with the veterans in the series, a few of which are drivers that he has idolized since childhood.
Dyne came out swinging at the season opener in Barbados in May, and has been continuously improving since that event. He has been successful in securing a place in the main competition at each event, and is one of only three others who can say the same so far this season. His lap times are improving with each race and his race craft has impressed many onlookers. Dyne might be a rookie, but he is a rising star in the series and is definitely one to look out for. He is a driver with genuine potential for true excellence.
Driving the #14 Barracuda Racing Ford Fiesta, Dyne has fought hard to showcase his skills at each race, and fans and fellow competitors should expect to see nothing less from him in Charlotte. While Dyne knows there is always room for improvement, he faith in his team and is confident in his performance abilities as he looks ahead to the race this weekend.
“I’m looking forward to racing at The Dirt Track at CMS,” said Austin Dyne. “The dirt is definitely an area I need more experience in and I want to learn as much as I can to improve myself. The team has been working non-stop to solve a lot of reliability issues and other issues we've been having and I'm confident we will get some luck our way!”
