PALO ALTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AeroFS today announced two new features that are promising to make file sharing and syncing simpler and more secure. As the organization continues to focus on bettering both the user and administrator experiences, these releases will benefit both parties.
With Web File Access, users are now able to access all of their files through a browser, even while using the AeroFS Private Cloud. Web File Access also allows users to create and share links to their files or folders with Secure Link Sharing. Secure Link Sharing supports password protected sharing as well as time-limited sharing.
On the security side, IT administrators now have ultimate control over which users and devices are permitted to run AeroFS desktop clients with all new Device Authorization. Device Authorization comes on top of an arsenal of security features AeroFS provides administrators, including:
-Remote wipe for lost/stolen devices
-User access revocation
“We are excited about these new features and are confident our users will be, too. Our team prides itself on listening to our customer’s feedback and suggestions, and we build our new features accordingly. It is not always easy to balance the differing needs and desires of employees and administrators, but we continue to focus our efforts on both and are pleased with the results,” said CEO Yuri Sagalov.
