PCM Vice President Wendy Bucknum Appointed to BIA-OC Board of Directors

LAKE FOREST, Calif.--()--Professional Community Management of California, Inc. (PCM), an Associa company, announces that Wendy Bucknum, recently promoted to vice president of business development, has been appointed to the Building Industry Association’s Orange County (BIA-OC) Board of Directors.

With Southern California’s housing rebound nearly complete, one of Bucknum’s key roles will be leveraging her strong business relationships to expand PCM’s roster of homebuilding and development clients. PCM has long been the industry leader in the development of new and existing community planning and governance models, working side by side with sales and marketing teams as well as community boards of directors as they establish their community plans.

A 21-year PCM employee, Bucknum previously served as governmental & public affairs manager for Laguna Woods Village in Laguna Woods, California.

Active in the community management industry, she has been a member of the Community Association Institute (CAI) since 2005, serving as the Orange County chapter president in 2009. Bucknum earned the prestigious Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM®) national designation from the CAI as well as the organization’s national Governmental Affairs Award in 2011. That same year, she earned Advocate of the Year honors by the South Orange County Regional Chamber of Commerce for her work on regional issues. Bucknum currently serves as the CAI immediate past chair and is a member of the Mission Viejo Community Services Commission and currently running for Mission Viejo City Council.
