ROCK HILL, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Comporium announced today that Kevan Cooper, emerging products manager for Comporium SMA Solutions, will participate on a panel entitled “Niche Markets for Growth” at the Independent Show in Kansas City, Mo., on July 30.
The breakout session will highlight the benefits, drawbacks, best practices and key challenges of emerging markets in the cable TV industry. The end goal is to provide actionable information that the show’s attendees can use to help launch new revenue generating businesses that create synergies with existing resources.
The Niche Markets for Growth session is scheduled to run from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. central time. Kyle Alcorn, New Wave, will serve as the panel’s moderator; other panelists include: Steve Constantine, GCI, and Travis Kohlrus, Eagle Communications. Other than the growth potential in the “connected home” market, the panel will address healthcare and education opportunities.
In 2012, Cooper joined Comporium’s business unit that focuses on sales, technical and marketing support for security, monitoring and automation services provided by small to medium size cable TV operators. He previously worked in the cable industry as a senior product manager for Cox Communications where he helped to lead the definition, development, execution, and launch of VoIP services. He also led the marketing efforts for all video services for the company’s North Carolina system.
With over 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, Cooper has also worked for global carriers including AT&T, Sprint, and MCI WorldCom. Cooper earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business from the University of Maryland.
