MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz Life®) recently hired Jamie Plesser as director of Interactive Strategy and Execution within the Marketing division. Plesser is responsible for leading the overall digital strategy for social and emerging media, email and social channels, and website experience. He also collaborates with key stakeholders across the company to improve digital capabilities and the customer web experience. Plesser reports to Vice President of Interactive Strategy and Development, Chris Du Bois.

Prior to joining Allianz Life, Plesser held various marketing roles at Best Buy in Richfield, Minn. where he worked for nine years. Most recently he was a digital marketing director where he defined and implemented the social and mobile marketing strategy for the brand. He also led the company’s Social Media Council –a cross-functional team that governed all social media activity. Plesser also served as a marketing manager for various Best Buy business units. Prior to that, he held a variety of marketing roles at organizations including Carlson Companies, Inc. in Minneapolis, Planning Group International (currently SapientNitro) in Miami, and Warner Bros. Pictures in Burbank, Calif.
Plesser earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kan. and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Carlson School of Management in Minneapolis. Plesser is also a member of the board of directors with the Minnesota Interactive Marketing Association.
