Over the past 15 years Delticom has contributed through its online stores much to the rising popularity of tyre product purchases through Internet distribution channels. Sales jumped over the 500 million euro mark for the first time last year. To date, approximately 7.3 million tyre buyers have gone online into one of the stores of the specialist. Industry experts predict a continuing trend in the development of passenger car tyre sales to consumers through online distribution channels.
The 2014 Delticom report also notes an upward trend to online tyre buying among Europeans. More than one third of respondents intend on buying tyres online in the future. Among the Europeans especially German users could imagine to make their future purchases of tyres through the Internet (47%).
