DNA Hires Kammie McArthur as Creative Director

PUBLICIS alum returns to Seattle where she helped launch the T-Mobile brand

SEATTLE--()--DNA, an independent full-service agency with expertise in brand strategy, advertising, digital strategy and media, announced today that it has hired Kammie McArthur as its new creative director.

She will lead the creative department and assist DNA principal and executive creative director, Dan Gross, in overseeing the creative efforts on all accounts.

McArthur comes to DNA from SWIRL San Francisco, where she most recently held the post of creative director and led creative efforts on campaigns for eBay, Clorox and the YMCA.

This move marks McArthur’s return to Seattle, where she spent eight years at PUBLICIS as part of the core team that launched and grew the T-Mobile brand in the U.S. There, she also worked with clients such as Citi, Chevy, New York City Bicycle Coalition and UNICEF.

“Hiring Kammie was an easy decision for us,” said Dan Gross, principal and executive creative director. “She's a talented creative thinker, a strategic problem solver, an effective mentor and leader and an all-around nice person. She has plenty of fans in Seattle from her years at PUBLICIS, including a number of people here at DNA who were excited to hear she was considering a move. We're delighted and fortunate to have her.”

“I’ve been a fan of DNA for years” said McArthur. “They’re a talented team with a bigger appetite than ever to get out there and do fun and surprising work. To be given the chance to help shape their next chapter is a huge opportunity.”

McArthur started her career at Hal Riney & Partners, San Francisco on the Sprint brand. Recognition for her work includes three-time Cannes finalist, One Show finalist, Clio Awards finalist, National Addy’s Silver, Seattle Show Gold, SF Show, Effie’s, Luerzer’s Archive and Ads of the World. She has been involved with the 3% Conference, serving as a speaker at its inaugural conference and again in the second year on the subject of mentorship, and is in connection with women in the Seattle ad industry to help create a regional group.
