LIVERPOOL, England--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Reputation.com, the leader in online reputation management and digital privacy technologies, is now processing Google search result opt-out requests for its European Union customers.
The European Court of Justice recently ruled that individuals may now petition Google for the removal of certain, third-party links in some circumstances. Reputation.com offers this reasonably priced service as part of its ReputationDefender® product, which empowers individuals to ensure their search results reflect accurate and current information. The company provides a full analysis of a customer’s search results across all the EU web domains and educates consumers on which results qualify for the opt-out request under the ruling’s parameters. Customers may also choose to process Google opt-out requests through Reputation.com as a separate, standalone option.
“This ruling is a watershed moment for human dignity online, ” said Michael Fertik, Reputation.com Founder and CEO. “When search results are wrong, out of date, or misleading, they disproportionately and unfairly impact people’s lives – so we’re pleased to facilitate the logistics of removal for our customers.”
The company has been submitting opt-out requests for customers since the European Court of Justice ruling was issued and Google implemented its opt-out process. Reputation.com has more than 1 million customers in over 100 countries, including all 28 European Union member states.
