TRAUB Hosts Industry Fundraiser to Benefit Pin Down Bladder Cancer

Partners with Beltology to Create Limited Edition Belt

NEW YORK--()--Marvin Traub Associates (TRAUB) today announced that it will host a fundraising cocktail party to raise awareness and support for bladder cancer research in memory of its founder, Marvin Traub. The event will take place on Tuesday, July 15 at Beautique in New York City.

The cocktail event is part of TRAUB’s efforts to raise visibility during Bladder Cancer Awareness Month in July. In partnership with Beltology, the Company has created a custom, limited edition Pin Down Bladder Cancer belt, which will be available for purchase. Proceeds and donations will benefit the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Bladder Cancer Research Fund. For more information, please contact Amy Hafkin at ahafkin@marvintraub.com.

“Representing the fourth most common cancer in men and fifth overall, bladder cancer is wide-spread yet vastly under-funded, receiving 10-20 times less funding than other common tumor cancers,” said Mortimer Singer, CEO of TRAUB. “Through our initiative Pin Down Bladder Cancer, we are hoping to close that gap and elevate much needed awareness of the disease.”

Andrew Heffernan, Beltology CEO and co-founder continued, “We are thrilled to have partnered with Pin-Down Bladder Cancer and TRAUB to create a product with such meaningful purpose. The limited edition PDBC belt honors an esteemed retail veteran and a cause that is close to our hearts.”

With 72,000 new cases nationally, and 15,000 deaths, bladder cancer affects approximately 500,000 people in the U.S. alone and is the most expensive cancer to treat on a per patient basis. Pin Down Bladder Cancer (PDBC) is a charitable organization, founded in remembrance of Marvin Traub, and dedicated to raising awareness and funds for bladder cancer research. All proceeds raised from the Pin Down Bladder Cancer initiatives support Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center's (MSKCC) bladder cancer Translational Science Program. The translational science studies focus on the development of early detection strategies to improve more timely diagnosis and a molecular characterization effort designed to identify the critical pathways driving the growth of bladder cancer cells. Please visit http://www.pindownbladdercancer.org for more information.

About Beltology

Beltology was founded on the idea that the belt was a forgotten & overlooked accessory. Belts, like watches, ties & socks, also deserved a modern upgrade. . After noticing the lack of effort men put into furnishing their waists, coupled with the lack of any standout belt brand, Beltology was created to fill the void. Beltology specializes in the ever-practical Italian inspired stretch woven belt. This is a belt that has comfort as its middle name. With a variety of colors & patterns - there’s a Beltology belt for every occasion, mindset & style.
