MAXIMUS Federal Services to Participate in Department of Homeland Security Mentor-Protégé Program

RESTON, Va.--()--MAXIMUS Federal Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of MAXIMUS (NYSE: MMS), announced today that it has joined the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Mentor-Protégé Program. MAXIMUS Federal Services will serve as a mentor to TDB Communications, a national workforce solutions provider specializing in delivering project management, consulting, records management and temporary staffing services to federal government agencies.

The Mentor-Protégé program was established by DHS to encourage the development of mutually beneficial partnerships between large prime contractors and small businesses, such as veteran-owned small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, HUBZone small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, and women-owned small businesses. The program is designed to enhance the performance of DHS contracts and strengthen the relationship and performance of both the mentor and protégé organizations.

TDB Communications is a small business contractor and a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). As a mentor to TDB Communications, MAXIMUS is eligible to receive credit in the source selection/evaluation criteria process for new awards.

“We are excited to be working with TDB Communications and look forward to establishing a long-term trusted relationship that leads to exceptional performance for government clients,” commented MAXIMUS Federal President Thomas Romeo. “Participation with TDB in the Homeland Security Mentor-Protégé Program is an exciting next step towards expanding our presence in the federal contracting market as we look for opportunities to introduce our core services to new agencies.”

“We are elated to have a company of such high quality as MAXIMUS to be our mentor,” said TDB Communications President Laird Simons. “Their diverse business model, position in the marketplace, global footprint, and winning team is exactly what we need to take us to the next level.”
