UC Berkeley Extension Opens Fall 2014 Enrollment

Over 500 online and classroom courses now accepting students

BERKELEY, Calif.--()--UC Berkeley Extension welcomes adults in the Bay Area to enroll in more than 500 fall courses. The continuing education branch of the University of California, Berkeley, UC Berkeley Extension offers professional development and personal enrichment in the classroom and online for adults in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. Most Extension courses take place in the evenings and on weekends to accommodate the busy schedules of working adults.

A new standout course this fall is Clinical Work With Transgender Clients: The Basics and Beyond, which teaches behavioral science clinicians how to best engage individuals who identify across the gender spectrum. Also new, the Professional Program in Evidenced-Based Therapy for Anxiety and Mood Disorders teaches clinicians about the major causes, diagnostic issues, and prevention and treatment approaches for anxiety and mood disorders. This program replaces the discontinued Professional Program for the Treatment of Anxiety Disorders and Professional Program for the Treatment of Mood Disorders.

UC Berkeley Extension offers more than 75 professional certificates and specialized programs of study that provide focused instruction in career development. Professional certificates signify the highest level of academic achievement from UC Berkeley Extension.
